Female Doctor in Grey ScrubsThe MUSC Pharmacy Residency Program uses the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) as well as the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Resident Matching Program, administered by the National Matching Service Inc.

Complete application submitted through PhORCAS include:

  • Letter of intent
  • Curriculum vitae
  • 3 recommendations submitted through PhORCAS using the standardized template.
  • Official transcripts of all pharmacy education and any other graduate programs (if applicable)

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Application Process

If you are applying for licensure by examination of score transfer, you will be required to have 1500 intern hours, at least 500 of which must be obtained outside of school requirements in a retail or institutional setting. Please note, we require residents to be licensed as a pharmacist or have their South Carolina Intern Permit by July 1st. Review the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy website for details.
